Troubleshooting
Tutorial Page Issues
The tutorial page is blank or shows an error
- Check that you're using a modern browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge)
- Try refreshing the page
- If the URL contains an old /api/shared/ path, it should redirect automatically to the new /tutorial/ format
Video won't play
- Ensure your browser supports WebM video (all modern browsers do)
- Check that you're not blocking media content via an ad blocker or browser extension
- Try a different browser
Screenshots look blurry
- Click on any screenshot to view it full-size in the lightbox
- Screenshots are captured at 1280×800 — they may appear slightly soft when scaled down in the step cards
Dark mode isn't working
- Click the sun/moon icon in the top navigation bar to toggle manually
- If you prefer to follow your system setting, make sure you haven't previously set a manual preference (clear
stepify-theme from your browser's localStorage)
Listing Page Issues
I can't see any tutorials
- Visit stepify.landingpad.digital/tutorials directly
- Check if a platform filter is active — click "All" to show all tutorials
- If the page loads but shows "No tutorials available", there may be a server issue
Video preview doesn't play on hover
- This feature requires JavaScript to be enabled
- If your system has "Reduce motion" enabled, previews are disabled automatically for accessibility
- Mobile devices don't support hover, so previews won't appear on touch screens
